THERE'S NO JUICE IN MY CANS

Hi Everybody,

**Please note that the original Drink Radio sessions recorded on 2/13/10 are posted in reverse order below the 2/15/10 sessions that are right below. In other words - will those of you who are playing in the match this afternoon move your clothes down onto the lower peg immediately after lunch, before you write you letter home, if you're not getting your hair cut, unless you've got a younger brother who is going out this weekend as the guest of another boy, in which case, collect his note before lunch, put it in your letter after you've had your haircut and make sure he moves your clothes down onto the lower peg for you. Now.

The first Drink Radio session with guests has officially arrived.

Good old friends Ken Pisani and Bennett Webber were kind enough to sit in and lend their golden pipes and comedy stylings to the proceedings.

Ken and Bennett are both professional writers, wit-meisters, ball busters and all around bon vivants.

At the beginning of this particular session, we were a little short handed, as my co-host Chris Girard ended up working late. Of course, we waited as long as we could for him to start things off, but after a LONG four and a half minutes, we decided to forge ahead.

This session is posted in four parts:

Part 1 - John, Ken and Bennett jibber jabber about what they've been up to and shellacked vaginas.

Part 2 - Chris joins in - the jibber jabbering is augmented by one more person - there's more talk of shellacked vaginas, favorite presidents and impromptu Bobcat Gold Thwait impressions - instant classic!

Part 3 - Dueling iPods - the four Drink Radio contestants compete in a knock down, drag out, musical brawl... not really, but it's fun. Ken Pisani gets really pissy over the term "Oldie but Goodie".

Part 4 - Dueling iPods continues and the show finally ends. It's hard to believe we all actually shut up, but it eventually did happen.

To enjoy some of Ken's writing (such as it is), visit eatthepoor.com <http://www.eatthepoor.com/> , where Ken blogs occasionally if not lucidly about the economy, ploitics, media and othertopics of little interest

Drink Radio is filled with naughty swear words, themes of questionable taste and a pretty good dose of sophomoric vulgarity. Fun! But it you’re under 18 you probably shouldn’t be listening to this, unless you’re one if those degenerate teens like I used to be.

TESTING ONE, TWO, THREE

The very first podcast of Drink Radio is here. Chris and I recorded this little gem in my Hollywood apartment LATE on Saturday, Feb. 13th. The next day was Valentine’s Day and luckily, our lack of obligations to the ladies allowed us to stay up all night and record for posterity.

As you’ll hear at the beginning of Part 1, we’re kind of new at this and there are a few false starts before we get things going. But once things get started – watch out! It is just riveting.

Part 2 continues with another false start and talk of problems with Quicktime megabyte problems. Luckily, we also include an explanation of what a cockabyte is.

Disclaimer #237 – Putting this podcast together has been a learning experience and I was kind of clunky with the technology. Not knowing what I was doing, I was recording in a QT movie format that was HUGE. This problem has since been addressed and the person responsible has been sacked.

Part 3 is what I like to call a “bonus extra”. After finishing up our Drink Radio maiden voyage reasonably well, we just had to dip back in one more time, didn’t we? Well, if you’ve ever wondered, “Hmm, I wonder what these guys would sound like if they were more drunk?” then this segment is for you. Perhaps we should have just gone to bed.
